​Julie's Military experience gives her a great ability to work with our Veteran clients. Her organizational skills are a wonderful asset to the team. She has a background in Military K9 handling and has been completing her apprenticeship with us for over a year to learn the service dog side of training. Julie also has a degree in psychology which is another great benefit to our organization and our Veterans.

As a Paws for Veterans graduate in 2011, his natural training ability and newly learned skills quickly advanced him to a position as a trainer with Paws for Veterans. He has been helping other Veterans with their service dogs ever since. Steve has since become certified as a service dog trainer, AKC evaluator and a member of APDT (Association for Professional Dog Trainers). His training skills and likeable personality make him a favorite amongst our clients, both 2 legged and 4 legged.

Siara has been working with dogs since she was 7 years old. As Crystal's daughter, she learned proper dog behavior and behavior modification as a young child and has been using it to help her mother train dogs over the last 12 years. Siara is a very driven, motivated, organized and goal oriented person. She has a wonderful desire to help people which makes her a great asset.

~Another reason for the mission

~Indio was an adult male Rottweiler that loved everyone. He was the first psych dog trained by our CEO. Indio will forever be in our hearts, minds, and our logo. RIP Big Boy!

We finally got our facility and now we are just trying to renovate it and make it fully functional


We need volunteers to plan and organize fundraising events. We can't help our Veterans and save our dogs without funding and that is where we need your help!

-In addition to her extensive experience in service dog training, advanced obedience, and behavior modification, she is a 30 year survivor of PTSD and battles several painful autoimmune diseases. Due to her own personal life experiences, she knows exactly what our clients need from their service dogs and ensures that their dogs do what their owners need with ease. -Due to her training experience, our dogs and Veterans results are exceptionally fast and effective

-All Paws for Veterans trainers are hand chosen and trained directly by Crystal

organization History

  1. Paws for Vets, Inc. was Founded by Michele Malloy
  2. Crystal and her company PSD Academy & Registry was brought on board to handle training of the Veterans service dogs
  3. Crystal took over as CEO, revamped, and expanded the program
  4.  We have been on a mission to secure a facility that will allow us to help more Veterans and rescue more dogs
